in Romans

The Power of God to Save

Jesus Christ, declared to be the Son of God with power

by the resurrection from the dead.

Paul wrote to the Christians in Rome,

I am not ashamed of the astounding news

of Jesus Christ:

for it is the power of God to save

everyone that believes.

God has shown Himself to us,

clearly seen by what He made,

even His eternal power and Godhead.

Don’t despise the riches of His goodness

for the goodness of God leads you back to Him,

who is Life.

God will give to every man according to his deeds: trouble on ones that do evil,

and glory, honor, and peace, to ones that do good: for there is no respect of persons with God.

A day is coming when God will judge

the secrets of men by Jesus Christ.

All have sinned:

there are none that seek after God.

No one is justified by the deeds of the law:

the law shows us what sin is.

All have sinned

for no one equals the glory of God.

But He justifies all who will,

freely by His grace:

to him that doesn’t work for it,

but believes on Him that justifies the ungodly,

his faith is counted for righteousness.

Galatians 4:5

The promise, that he would be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham and his seed,

through the law,

but through the righteousness of faith.

It is of faith, that it might be by grace;

so it can be to everyone;

Abraham believed God,

who makes alive the dead,

and calls those things that are not

as though they are.

He was certain that

what God had promised,

He was able also to do.

Romans 4:13,16,17,21

Being justified by faith,

we have peace with God

through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:1

And the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts

by the Holy Spirit who is given to us.

When we were still without strength,

in due time,

Christ died for the ungodly.

God displays His love toward us,

in that, while we were still sinners,

Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified

by His blood,

we will be saved from wrath through Him.

If, when we were enemies,

we were reconciled to God

by the death of His Son,

much more,

being reconciled,

we will be saved by His life.

Romans 5:8-10

We are buried with Him by baptism into death: so, as Christ was raised from the dead

by the glory of the Father,

even so we will walk in newness of life.

He died to sin once and now lives to God.

Sin can’t rule over us

for we aren’t under the law, but under grace.

Romans 6:4,10,14

Now being made free from sin,

having become servants to God,

our lives produce holiness,

and the end, everlasting life.

For the wages of sin is death;

but the gift of God is eternal life

through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:22,23

We are dead to the law

by the body of Christ

to be married to another,

to Him who is raised from the dead.

Romans 7:4

But I keep falling back to my old ways.

who can deliver me from this?

I thank God who give us the victory

through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Romans 7:24,25

There is now no condemnation

to those in Christ Jesus,

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus

has made us free from the law of sin and death.

If the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you,

He that raised up Christ from the dead

will also make alive your mortal bodies

by His Spirit that dwells in you.

Romans 8:1,2,11

The Spirit Himself bears witness

with our spirit,

that we are the children of God:

and if children, then heirs;

heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ.

Know that the sufferings of this present time

aren’t worthy to be compared with the glory

that will be revealed in us.

The Spirit also helps our infirmities:

for we don’t know what we should pray for:

but the Spirit makes intercession for us.

God is working all things together

for good to those that love Him.

Romans 8:16,17,18,26,28

Since God is for us,

who can be against us?

He that didn’t spare His own Son,

but delivered Him up for us all,

how will He not, with Him,

also freely give us all things?

I am persuaded, that not death, or life,

or angels, or anything

is able to separate us

from the love of God,

which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:31,32,38,39

Through all this

God wanted to show

the riches of His glory on all.

Romans 9:23

For Christ is the end of the law

for righteousness

to everyone that believes.

Romans10:4

And the Lord over all

is rich to all that call upon him.

For whoever calls on the name of the Lord

will be saved. Romans 10:12,13

Faith comes by hearing, the word of God. Romans 10:17

Look at the goodness and severity of God:

on those which fell, severity;

but toward you, goodness,

if you continue in His goodness:

otherwise, you also will be cut off.

God has enclosed all in unbelief,

that He might have mercy on all.

O the depth of the riches of the wisdom

and knowledge of God!

How unsearchable are His judgments,

and His ways past finding out!

For of Him, and through Him,

and to Him, are all things:

to whom be glory forever.

Romans 11:22,32,33,36

Love does no ill to its neighbor.

Therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.

So, let’s always put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh,

to fulfill its lusts.

Romans13:10,14

Because, whether we live,

we live to the Lord;

and whether we die,

we die to the Lord.

whether we live or die, we are the Lord's.

For to this end Christ both died, and rose,

and lives again,

that He might be Lord

both of the dead and living.

Romans14:8,9

Receive one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. Romans15:7

For to God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Romans16:27

The Glory of God

in 1 Corinthians 1-3

‘You have the mind of Christ.’

2 Corinthians 2:1

Who has known the mind of the Lord,

that he may instruct him?

But we have the mind of Christ.

2 Corinthians 2:16

Who wouldn’t want to know the mind of the Christ,

to have the mind of the Lord

who created all things by simply speaking?

Who created each person in His image.

Genesis 1:27

He spoke and it was done.

He commanded and it stood firm

(infinitely and eternally

because He is infinite and eternal).

Psalm 33:6,9

Infinite capacity because He is infinite.

The word of God is the mind of Christ.

The more of the holy scriptures we know,

the more of His mind we have

inside our heart

to make your thinking and His the same.

Can two walk together unless agree?

Amos 3:3

All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Timothy 3:16, 17

(Thoroughly furnished. It’s all we need.)

Paul, to those in Christ Jesus,

called to be saints,

with all in every place that call upon the name of Jesus, That in everything you are enriched by Him,

Who holds you firmly to the end,

so you will be blameless

in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men;

and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

1 Corinthians 1:26

God chose the weak things of the world

to confound the mighty,

so that no one will boast in His presence.

Only He is infinite and eternal love, power, beauty, holiness, wisdom, grace and every good thing,

He is the Source, the fountain of it all.

And of Him we are in Christ Jesus,

who of God is our wisdom, and righteousness,

and sanctification, and redemption.

God is faithful who called you to be with Him,

in His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

So be perfectly joined together in the same mind.

For I hear there are divisions among you.

Was Paul crucified for you? Or anyone else?

The preaching of the cross is foolishness to those perishing but to us who are saved it is

the power of God.

All power is given to me in heaven and in earth,

Jesus said in Matthew 28:18.

God made foolish the wisdom of this world.

For by the wisdom of the world

they didn't know God.

The foolishness of God is wiser than men.

He knows everything.

And the weakness of God is stronger than men,

He is all power.

That your faith would not stand

in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery,

ordained before the world to our glory.

Eye hasn’t seen or ear heard,

or entered the heart of man,

the things which God has prepared for those that love him.

But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit:

for the Spirit searches all things,

the deep things of God.

But among you is envy and strife, saying,

I am of Paul or of Apollos.

Who are we but servants through whom you believed.

I planted, Apollos watered;

but God gave the increase.

The one that plants isn’t anything

or one that waters,

but God that gives the increase.

We are workers together with God.

I laid the foundation (Christ),

and another builds on it.

But let every man watch what he builds:

gold, silver, precious stones, (God’s word and Spirit)

or wood, hay, stubble (works of pride and the old self), because it will be revealed by fire;

the fire will test every man's work showing what sort it is.

If a man's work remains he will receive a reward.

If it is burned, he will suffer loss:

but he himself will be saved; yet so as by fire.

Know that you are the temple of God,

and that the Spirit of God dwells in you.

If you defile the temple of God, you destroy yourself because the temple of God is holy.

Let no man deceive himself,

for the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise,

that they are empty and self-centered.

I have created you for My glory,

I made you. Isaiah 43:7

That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith;

that being rooted and grounded in love,

you will know with all saints

how infinitely wonderful He is,

and be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:17-19

So don’t be in awe of men.

For all things are yours

and you are Christ’s

and Christ is God’s.

The counsel of the Lord stands for ever,

the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

Psalm 33:11

Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners,

and made higher than the heavens;

by one offering He has perfected forever

those that believe in Him.

Hebrews 7:26, 10:14

Come to Me, all that labor and are loaded down,

and I will give you rest.

Join with Me and learn of Me

for I am humble and low in heart:

and you will find rest for your souls.

What I require is easy and light.

Ones that overcome will sit with Me

on My throne. Revelation 3:21

Come, share My eternal glory,

that’s what I made you for:

to love you with My everlasting love,

It’s what I died for. Jeremiah 31:3

To know Him is life eternal. John 17:3

The Lord your God in you is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy;

He will rest in His love,

He will joy over you with singing.

Zephaniah 3:17

He will joy over you with singing.

The Glory of God

in 1 Corinthians 4-6

The Lord, the Judge

Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

Genesis 18:25

Sing to the Lord.

Make a joyful noise before the Lord, the King. Let the sea roar and its fullness, the world,

and those that there.

Let the hills be joyful together before the Lord;

for He comes to judge the earth

with righteousness and equity. Psalm 98:5-9

Stewards of the mysteries of God:

It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.

I don’t judge.

For I know nothing by Myself;

He that judges me is the Lord.

And the Father judges no man,

but has committed all judgment to the Son.

John 5:21

Therefore judge nothing before the time,

until the Lord comes,

who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness,

and will show the counsels of the hearts:

and then every man will have praise from God.

(For not following evil,

but against much opposition,

seeking and following truth,

walking with Him in faith.)

Do not to think of men above what is written,

(all are sinners saved by His Grace)

that you not be puffed up one against another.

For who makes you different from each other? (God)

and what do you have that you didn’t receive?

If you received it,

how can you boast as though it came from you?

I think God has set us forth as illustrations

of His power living inside us.

Being reviled, we bless;

being persecuted, we are carried on in His power.

Some of you are puffed up.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord wills it,

and I will know, if you walk in His power.

For the kingdom of God is not in word,

but in power.

I hear that there is fornication among you,

and such fornication as is not so much as named among the nations, that one has his father's wife.

He that is doing this

should be taken away from among you.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

when you are gathered together

with my spirit,

and with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

deliver this one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh,

that his spirit may be saved

in the day of the Lord Jesus.

A little yeast puffs up the whole loaf of bread.

Cleanse out the old pride that you may be new.

For Christ our Passover was sacrificed for us.

Our old life has been replaced

by His infinitely perfect one.

Let’s not celebrate this with malice and wickedness;

but with pure bread of sincerity and truth.

Being with fornicators, or covetous people,

or extortioners, or idolaters

will lead you to be taken out of the world.

But those that are outside the church God judges.

You put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

If you have disputes among yourselves,

don’t go to the courts of the world,

bring it before the saints.

Don’t you know that the saints will judge the world?

the saints will judge angels?

It’s better to let yourselves be wronged

than to display such lack of integrity before the world.

You make God look bad.

Don’t you know

that the unrighteous won’t inherit the kingdom of God? Don’t be deceived: no fornicators, or idolaters,

or adulterers, or effeminate,

or abusers of themselves with mankind, or thieves,

or covetous, or drunkards, or revilers,

or extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.

You were like these at one time, but now are washed,

and sanctified and justified

in the name/person of the Lord Jesus

and by the Spirit of our God.

All things are lawful to me,

all things are not expedient:

all things are lawful for me,

but I will not be brought under the power of any.

Food is for the stomach, and the stomach for food

but God will destroy both it and them.

Now the body is not for fornication,

but for the Lord;

and the Lord for the body.

And God has both raised up the Lord

and will also raise up us by His own power.

Don’t you know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I take the members of Christ,

and join them to a harlot?

God forbid.

He that is joined to a harlot is one body

for ‘the two, He says, will be one flesh.’

Genesis 2:24

But he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit.

Flee fornication.

Every sin that a man does is outside the body;

but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.

What? Don’t you that your body

is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you,

who you have from God, and you are not your own?

For you were bought with a price:

therefore, glorify God in your body,

and in your spirit,

which are God's.

1 Corinthians 4-6

You were bought

at the highest price ever paid for anything.

The precious blood of the eternal Son of God.

1 Peter 1:18, 19

Who bore all our sins

in His own body on the cross

making us ‘holy as He is holy.’

We can honor that by walking with Him,

keeping ourselves in His infinitely exquisite love:

that will show these temptations are empty lies.

Holy, harmless, undefiled,

separate from sinners, higher than the heavens.

Hebrews 7:26

Who gave up everything to have a relationship with you. Who loves you with a love so deep

to know would break your heart.

Love never fails

By one Spirit we are all baptized into one body.

Now you are the body of Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:27

God is love. 1 John 4:8

Love suffers long and is kind; love doesn’t envy.

love doesn’t flaunt itself. It’s not puffed up. It doesn’t behave unbecomingly, isn’t selfish, isn’t easily provoked, doesn’t think evil, doesn’t rejoice in iniquity

but rejoices in the truth.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort

who comforts us in all our pressures.

We have the sentence of death in ourselves,

that we not trust in ourselves,

but in God who raises the dead.

He delivered us from so great a death

by the grace of God.

Now He that establishes us with you in Christ,

and anointed us, is God;

who sealed us and gave the pledge (down payment)

of the Spirit in our hearts.

Now thanks be to God,

who always causes us to triumph in Christ,

and shows the fragrance of the knowledge

of Him in every place.

We are not sufficient of ourselves.

Our sufficiency is of God

who has made us able ministers of the new covenant.

Now thanks be to God,

who always causes us to triumph in Christ,

If the law carved on stone was glorious

(showing God’s wonderful purity and holiness),

so that the children of Israel

could not continue to gaze at the face of Moses

for the shining glory of his face,

which faded,

won’t the working of the Spirit filling each one

with His righteousness be much more glorious?

Now the Lord is the Spirit:

and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

And we all, with open face beholding

as in a mirror, the glory of the Lord,

are changed into the same image from glory to glory,

by the Spirit of the Lord.

2 Corinthians 3:17,18

God, who commanded the light

to shine out of darkness,

has shined in our hearts,

to give the light of the knowledge

of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

We have this treasure in earthen vessels,

that the excellency of the power may be of God,

and not of us.

And He who raised up the Lord Jesus

will raise up us also by Jesus

and will present us with you.

If our earthly body is dissolved,

we have a building of God,

eternal in the heavens.

So, the ability to die is swallowed up by life.

He that has done this for us is God.

To be absent from the body,

is to be present with the Lord.

The love of Christ holds us.

He died for all so that we no longer live to ourselves

but to Him who died for us and rose again.

2 Corinthians 5:15

God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself,

not putting their trespasses on them, but on Jesus.

If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation:

old things have passed away and all things have become new.

And all things are of God,

who reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ.

He made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;

that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

2 Corinthians 5

You are the temple of the living God;

as God has said, I will dwell in them

and be their God, and they will be My people.

2 Corinthians 6

There is only one God, the Father,

of whom are all things, and we in Him;

and one Lord Jesus Christ,

by whom are all things, and we by Him.

The cup of blessing which we bless,

is it not the communion of the blood of Christ?

His limitless love for us.

The bread which we break,

is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

His infinitely glorious being, with us.

1 Corinthians 10:31

And you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,

that, though He was rich, infinitely,

yet for our sakes He became poor,

that we through His poverty might be rich.

Therefore, by these promises, dearly beloved,

let us cleanse ourselves

from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,

perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Love and reverence toward Him

clears the heart and mind of all that is worthless,

fulfilling the first and great command to

love Him with all our being,

for that’s how He loves us.

Whatever situation we find ourselves in,

He says, My grace is enough for you:

for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

So we glory in our infirmities,

that the power of Christ may rest on us.

2 Corinthians 12:9

We live with Him by the power of God.

Holy, harmless, undefiled,

separate from sinners, higher than the heavens.

Who by one sacrifice perfected forever

those that believe in Him.

Hebrews 7:26,10:14

And says to all, Come to Me all you that labor

and are heavy loaded.

I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28-30

And I will come again

and receive you to Myself

that where I am you will be. John 14:3

in Galatians

Delivered from evil

Paul, an apostle, (not of men but by Jesus Christ,

and God the Father,

who raised Him from the dead;)

to the churches of Galatia:

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father,

and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who gave Himself for our sins,

to deliver us from this present evil world,

according to the will of God and our Father:

To whom be glory forever and ever.

I marvel that you are so soon removed

Him that called you into the grace of Christ

to some who are twisting the truth of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven,

preach any other gospel let him be cursed.

Do we seek to please men?

Then we’re not serving Christ.

The truth I told you came to me only

by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

You know my past, how I tried

to destroy the church of Jesus Christ.

But when it pleased God,

who separated me from my mother's womb,

and called me by His grace,

to reveal His Son in me

I talked to no one in the church.

False brothers have sneaked in

to try to bring us back under the law

that Christ already fulfilled in our place.

Knowing that a man is not justified

by the works of the law,

but by the faith of Jesus Christ,

even we have believed in Jesus Christ,

we might be justified by the faith of Christ,

and not by the works of the law:

for by the works of the law no one will be justified.

For I, through the law, am dead to the law,

that I might live to God.

I am crucified with Christ,

yet I live; not I,

but Christ lives in me:

and the life I now live I live

by the faith of the Son of God,

who loves me, and gave Himself for me.

Do not frustrate the grace of God:

for if righteousness comes by the law,

then Christ died for nothing.

Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law

or by hearing about faith?

Do we start in the Spirit

then go on in our own wisdom and strength?

His is infinite!

Have we suffered all our pressures for nothing?

No!

Abraham believed God,

and it was counted to him for righteousness.

The prophecies,

foreseeing that God would justify the nations by faith,

said to Abraham, In you all nations will be blessed.

So then, those that are of faith

are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Those that trust in the law have to do the whole law perfectly because it is one law with many parts.

If you break one, you broke them all.

But no man is justified by the law

in the sight of God for,

The just live by faith.

Romans 1:17

And Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law,

taking the curse for us,

so the blessing of Abraham might come on all,

that we might receive the promise of the Spirit

through faith.

The inheritance by faith was promised

to Abraham 430 years before the law was given.

The law was given so mankind would see that

the holiness of God is too high to reach.

He has to lift us up to Himself.

The law was our teacher to bring us to Christ,

that we might be justified by faith.

Those of you that have been baptized into Christ

have put on Christ,

where there isn't Jew or Gentile,

no slave or free, no male or female:

for you are all one in Christ Jesus,

and heirs of the promise.

When the fullness of the time came

God sent His Son, born of a woman,

made under the law,

to redeem those that were under the law,

to receive the adoption of sons.

You are sons

and heirs of God

through Christ.

Stand fast therefore in the freedom

where Christ made us free,

don’t be tangled in the law.

Now you live by faith which is powered by love.

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,

long-suffering, gentleness, goodness,

faith. meekness, and self-control:

against such things there is no law.

The works of the flesh are adultery, murder, idolatry,

witchcraft, hatred and every evil thing.

Don’t be deceived;

God is not mocked:

for whatever a man sows, he will reap.

Only glory in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,

by whom the world is crucified to us,

and us to the world;

we are new creations.

God, who at different times and in different ways

spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets,

has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,

whom He has appointed heir of all things,

by whom also He made the worlds;

Who being the brightness of His glory,

and the exact image of His person,

and upholding all things by the word of His power,

when He had, by himself,

erased from existence our sins,

sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high: Hebrews 1:1-3

The Lord Himself will descend from heaven

with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trumpet of God:

and the dead in Christ will rise first:

then we who are alive and remain

will be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and will always be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17

Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners,

higher than the heavens.

Hebrews 7:26

Who loves us so much that He took all sins of the universe away forever in His own body on the cross, exchanging it for His holiness.

The Glory of God

in Ephesians

Blessed in heavenly places

Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in heavenly places in Christ.

He chose us before the foundation of the world,

to be holy and without blame before Him in love: predestined to be adopted by Jesus Christ

to Himself,

to the praise of the glory of His grace,

in which He has made us accepted in the Beloved (received with joyful delight).

Bought back to God by His blood,

eternally forgiven all sins.

He made known to us the mystery of His will:

to gather together in one, all things in Christ,

that are in heaven and earth, in Him:

in whom we have obtained an inheritance,

predestined by Him

who works all things as He wills,

and sealed us,

inseparably joining us to Himself

with that Holy Spirit of promise.

that you may know the exceeding greatness

of His power toward us that He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead,

and set Him at His own right hand

in the heavenly places, far above

all rulers and powers that are or could ever be.

God, who is rich in mercy,

for His great love with which He loves us,

even when we were dead in sins,

made is alive us together with Christ.

And has raised us up together

and made us sit together

in heavenly places in Christ Jesus;

we who once had no hope

and were without God in the world.

But now we are made near by the blood of Christ.

He is our peace,

who has made the two one

by fulfilling the law of commandments in our place,

making us fellow citizens with the saints of God.

And by His Holy Spirit

is building us to be a holy temple in the Lord.

Paul said, I preach among the Gentiles

the unsearchable riches of Christ

to make all men see the fellowship of the mystery,

which was hid in God,

who created all things by Jesus Christ,

to show all the universe,

the infinite wisdom of God.

I ask Him to grant you

according to the riches of His glory,

to be strengthened with might

by His Spirit in the inner man,

for Christ to dwell in your hearts by faith,

and you be rooted and grounded in His love;

and see in your heart all His infinite glories;

and know the love of Christ,

which is beyond knowledge,

so you will be filled with all the fullness of God.

For He is able to do exceedingly abundantly

above all that we ask or think,

according to the power that works in us,

throughout all ages, world without end.

There is one body, and one Spirit. one Lord,

one faith, one baptism,

one God and Father of all,

who is above all, and through all,

and in you all.

After descending into the lower parts of the earth

Jesus ascended far above all heavens

that He might fill all things.

And He gave special gifts to men

for the perfecting of the saints,

so all will come in the unity of the faith,

knowing the Son of God.

Don’t be tossed around

by every wind of doctrine that deceives.

Put on the new man,

who after God

is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Only speak what the Holy Spirit leads you to say,

who has inseparable joined you

to the eternal Lord of all, forever.

Don’t allow bitterness, anger, or evil words

or malice to come from you,

but kindness and forgiveness:

as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us,

and given Himself for us

an offering and a sacrifice to God.

Stay far away from deceivers and empty words

for because of these things the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

You were once darkness,

but now are light in the Lord:

Don’t be drunk with wine,

but be filled with the Holy Spirit,

singing in your heart to the Lord.

Giving thanks always, for all things,

to God the Father.

Christ is the head of the church

and the Savior of the body.

He loves the church and gave Himself for it,

to present it to Himself a glorious church.

We are members of His body,

His flesh, and His bones.

For this reason a man leaves his father and mother,

and is joined to his wife,

and the two will be one flesh.

This is a great mystery:

but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

That they all may be one;

as You, Father, are in me,

and I in You,

that they also may be one in us. John 17:23

Paul and Timothy to all: Grace and peace to you,

from God our Father,

being confident that He that began a good work in you

will do it until the day of Jesus Christ.

I pray that your love may abound more and more

in knowledge and in all judgment

that you may prove things that are excellent;

that you may be pure and without offence

(not causing to stumble) until the day of Christ.

Being filled with the fruits of righteousness,

which are by Jesus Christ,

to the glory and praise of God.

I want you to know that everything that has happened to me (being arrested and imprisoned)

has only spread the gospel further.

God works everything together for good

to those that love Him.

Romans 8:28

Making many, more bold to speak the word without fear. Some preach Jesus, hoping to add torture to my imprisonment, and others out of love.

Both ways Christ is preached.

I rejoice in this and will be ashamed in nothing,

but with all boldness, to magnify Christ in my body,

either by life, or by death.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

I desire to go be with Christ, which is far better.

I will stay with you to further the joy of your faith.

Christ comforts us with His love,

inseparably joining us to Him by His Spirit,

making us joyful in being one mind with Him,

so allow no strife, pride, or self-glory.

He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death,

even the death of the cross.

Therefore God has highly exalted Him,

and given Him a name that is above every name:

That at the name of Jesus every knee will bow,

in heaven, and earth, and under the earth;

and all will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.

Keep working out your own deliverance.

For it is God who is working in you both to will

and to do of His good pleasure.

Do all things without murmurings and disputings,

quietly trusting God,

blameless and harmless sons of God,

in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation,

among whom you shine as lights in the world;

Holding forth the word of life.

Finally, brothers, rejoice in the Lord.

To write the same things to you,

to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.

Watch out for evil workers,

and those who depend on their own works to save them.

We are those who worship God in the Spirit,

For our life is in heaven;

from where we look for the Savior,

the Lord Jesus Christ:

Who will change our lowly body

to be like His glorious body,

by His power that is able to subdue all things

unto Himself.

Dearly Beloved, my joy and crown,

stand fast in the Lord;

be of the same mind in the Lord.

Rejoice in the Lord always: and again,

I say, Rejoice.

Let your kind reasonableness be known to all men.

The Lord is at hand.

Don’t be anxious about anything

but in everything by prayer

with thanksgiving l

And the peace of God,

which is high above all understanding

(what the mind can perceive, because He’s infinite),

will keep/guard your hearts and minds

through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, honest,

think on these things.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

My God will supply all your need

according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus

(the One who owns the universe!)

Grace and peace are to you

and your love in the Spirit.

which is the church

the mystery which was hidden from ages

It is Him we preach, warning and teaching everyone

in all wisdom;

that we may present everyone complete

in Christ Jesus.

We work by His power which is mighty.

I fight the old battle

so your hearts will be comforted,

being knit together in love,

and in all riches of the full assurance of understanding,

to know the mystery of God, the Father, and Christ;

in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge; so no one can beguile you with enticing words.

For I am absent in the flesh, but with you the Spirit , rejoicing to see your order and steadfastness

of your faith in Christ.

You received Him by faith, so walk in Him by faith: rooted and built up in Him,

established in the faith,

abounding there with thanksgiving.

Watch out that no one capture you into the love of wisdom, and empty lies, and things of the world system,

philosophy and vain deceit,

after the tradition of men, after the things of the world,

and not after Christ (who made the world).

For in Him dwells all the fullness

of the Godhead bodily.

And you are complete in Him,

Who is The Head of all principality and power:

in Him you are circumcised

with the circumcision made without hands,

in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh

by the circumcision of Christ:

buried with Him in baptism,

and risen with Him through the faith

of the working of God,

Who raised Him from the dead.

And you who were dead in your sins

He made alive with Him,

having forgiven you all trespasses.

He took the list of crimes against us

and nailed it to His cross.

He stripped principalities and powers,

He showed what they are openly, in triumph.

So, don’t let anyone trick you out of your reward,

by trying to do anything in your own power,

or trying to be good enough yourself,

or by worshipping angels.

He fulfilled all the requirements of us,

infinitely perfectly.

Since you are risen with Christ,

seek the things above,

where Christ sits at the right hand of God,

for your old self is dead

and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, appears,

then you will appear with Him in glory.

Christ is all, in all.

God, in these last days

has spoken to us by His Son,

Called to His kingdom and glory

Paul, to the church of the Thessalonians

in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:

Grace to you and peace from Them.

Beloved, we always thank God for you.

He chose you and is always watching over you.

Our astounding news came to you in power

and in the Holy Spirit.

And you followed,

having received the word in much affliction,

with joy in the Holy Spirit.

And you became examples to all in your regions,

spreading this word so thoroughly

that we don’t need to say anything.

They saw you turn from idols to serve the living

and true God; and see you waiting for His Son

from heaven, whom He raised from the dead,

Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.

1 Thessalonians 2

And though we were shamefully treated at Philippi,

we were bold in our God to speak to you

the astounding news from God with much conflict.

We spoke to you plainly and truthfully,

not as pleasing men, but God,

Who tests our hearts.

We didn’t pretend to be covetous

and we didn’t flatter you;

God is witness, we were gentle among you,

as a nurse cherishing her children.

We worked for our own support not to burden you.

We called you to God’s side and comforted you,

as a father does His children,

encouraging you to walk worthy of God,

who called you into His kingdom and glory.

You received the word of God, not as the word of men,

but as it is in truth, the word of God,

which works powerfully in you that believe.

You are our hope, our joy, our crown of rejoicing

in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ

at His coming.

You are our glory and joy.

Let no affliction move you away

from the truth of Him;

for in all our afflictions He is with us.

‘In all our affliction He is afflicted,

and the angel of His presence saves them:

in His love and deep passion He redeems them;

and He carries them all the days.’

Isaiah 63:9

What joy you bring to us before our God.

He establishes our hearts unblameable

in holiness at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Don’t lust after other men’s wives

for God avenges these things.

He hasn’t called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

He that despises others is despising God,

who has given us His Holy Spirit.

I want you to understand about those

that have died in Christ,

they are only asleep,

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,

those asleep in Jesus, God will bring with Him.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven

with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trumpet of God:

and the dead in Christ will rise first:

then we who are alive and remain

will be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and then we will always be with the Lord.

The day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night.

For when they are saying, Peace and safety;

then sudden destruction comes on them

and they won’t escape.

But God hasn’t appointed us to wrath,

but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Who died for us, that,

whether we wake or sleep, we live together with Him.

Very highly esteem God’s workers

and be at peace among yourselves:

warn the unruly, comfort the feebleminded,

support the weak, be patient toward all men.

Pay back no one evil for evil

but ever follow what is good,

both among yourselves, and to all men.

Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing.

In everything give thanks:

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Don’t quench the Spirit.

Hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly;

and I pray God your whole spirit, soul, and body

be preserved blameless to the coming

of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithful is He that called you,

who also will do it.

Grace and peace to you, from God our Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ.

We thank God always for you

because your faith is shining in

your persecutions and tribulations that you are enduring.

Know that it is a righteous thing with God

to repay trouble to those that trouble you.

You who are troubled. rest with us,

for soon the Lord Jesus will be revealed from heaven

with His mighty angels, in flaming fire, taking vengeance on those that don’t know God, and don’t obey not the astounding news of our Lord Jesus Christ.

They will be punished with everlasting destruction

from the presence of the Lord,

and His glorious power;

The wicked one will be revealed,

whom the Lord will consume and destroy

with the brightness of His coming.

But He called you to obtain the glory

f our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself,

and God, our Father, who loves us,

and gives us eternal consolation

and good hope through grace,

establishes us and guards us from evil.

Since you are risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sits on the right hand of God.

Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

For you are dead,

(our old nature exchanged for His at the cross)

and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

When Christ, who is our life, appears,

then you will appear with Him in glory.

Love out of a pure heart

Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ,

Who is our hope, to my son in the faith.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father

and Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Teach no other doctrine, or fables, or endless genealogies, they don’t build up in faith.

The result of the commandment is love

out of a pure heart,

a good conscience, and real faith.

The law is not made for a righteous man,

but for the lawless and disobedient.

The glorious, astounding news of the blessed God

was committed to my trust.

And I thank Christ Jesus, our Lord,

who has empowered me,

who was a blasphemer, and a persecutor.

He had mercy on me with abundant grace and love.

It is a faithful saying worthy of all acceptance

that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;

of whom I am chief.

Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible,

the only wise God,

be honor and glory forever and ever.

Hold onto your faith and good conscience;

for some have slipped

and I have delivered them to Satan,

so they will learn not to blaspheme.

Pray,

interceding and giving thanks for all men,

kings and all in authority

that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives

in all godliness and honesty.

For this is good and acceptable

in the sight of God, our Savior;

Who desires all men to be saved,

and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

For there is one God, and one mediator

between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

Who gave Himself a ransom for all.

Choose leaders who rule their own families well,

honorable, humble men, not greedy or given to wine,

who hold the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

I write these things so you will know how to behave

in the house of God,

which is the church of the living God,

the pillar and ground of the truth.

Great is the mystery of godliness:

God was shown in the flesh,

justified in the Spirit,

seen of angels,

preached to the nations,

believed on in the world,

and received up into glory.

The Spirit says exactly,

that in the last times some will turn to seducing spirits,

and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy;

forbidding to marry,

commanding to abstain from meats/foods,

which God created to be received with thanksgiving

from those who believe and know the truth.

For everything God created is good,

and nothing to be refused,

if it is received with thanksgiving:

for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

You will be a good minister of Jesus Christ.

Nourish your brothers in the words of faith

and the good (beautiful, excellent, honorable, precious) doctrine that you have followed.

Refuse the profane (opposite of sacred)

and old wives' fables and exercise yourself

rather to godliness (awe of God);

for bodily exercise profits little

but awe of God is profitable in all things,

having promise of the life now,

and that which is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8

We labor and suffer insults

because we trust in the living God,

who is the Savior of all men,

very much (to the uttermost) of those that believe.

He saves to the uttermost (infinitely and eternally). Hebrews 7:25

Before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ,

and the elect angels,

observe these things without partiality.

Honor those that stay under His way

that the name of God and His doctrine isn’t blasphemed. Don’t despise any believers

for they are faithful and beloved,

partakers of the awesome work He does for us.

Those who don’t are proud, knowing nothing,

striving over words, speculating,

and envying with perverse, corrupt minds,

destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: withdraw from them,

for awe of God with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into this world,

and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Those desiring to be rich fall into a trap,

and many foolish and hurtful lusts.

For the love of money is the root of all evil.

Those coveting bring on themselves many sorrows.

We live in the sight of God,

who is the Life of all things,

and before Christ Jesus,

the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings,

and Lord of lords, who only has immortality,

dwelling in the unapproachable light,

to whom be honor and power everlasting.

2 Timothy

God hasn’t given us the spirit of fear;

but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling,

not according to our works,

but according to His own purpose and grace,

which was given us in Christ Jesus

before the world began:

but now is shown by the appearing of our Savior

Christ, who has abolished death,

and brought life and immortality to light

through this astounding news.

2 Timothy 2:9,10

Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

The word of God is not bound.

I endure all things for the elect's sakes,

that they may obtain the salvation

which is in Christ Jesus

with eternal glory.

For if we died with Him,

we will also live with Him:

if we suffer, we will reign with Him.

If we are faithless, He remains faithful.

He cannot deny Himself.

He is the life of us.

The foundation of God stands sure,

having this seal:

the Lord knows those that are His.

All scripture is God breathed,

making the man of God perfect,

thoroughly furnished into all good works,

2 Timothy 3:16,17

We stand before God,

and the Lord Jesus Christ,

who will judge the quick and the dead

at His appearing and His kingdom.

2 Timothy 4:1

A crown of righteousness awaits,

which the Lord, the righteous judge,

will give me that day: and not to me only,

but to all that love His appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7,8

At every difficulty, the Lord stood with me,

strengthening me and will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me safely unto His heavenly kingdom.

God, who cannot lie, promised

Paul, in faith, truth, and reverence toward God,

to Titus (nurse), in confidence of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before the world began,

has, in due time, revealed His word through preaching, which is committed to me

according to the commandment of God, our Savior.

Grace, mercy, and peace to you, from God the Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior.

I left you in Crete, to set in order

the things that are lacking,

and ordain elders in every city,

as I had appointed you.

If any man is blameless, the husband of one wife,

having faithful children,

not accused of being riotous or unruly.

For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God;

not self-willed, or easily angered, not given to wine

or striking people, not greedy,

but a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men,

sober, just, holy, temperate;

holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught,

that he may be able by sound doctrine

both to unfold the meaning

and to convince those speaking against it.

For there are many unruly and empty talkers and deceivers, specially the religious

whose mouths must be stopped,

who subvert many, teaching things shouldn’t,

for money.

Correct them sharply, so they will be sound in the faith;

not paying attention to fables and commandments

of men that turn from the truth.

To the pure all things are pure:

but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure.

Even their mind and conscience is defiled:

they profess to know God but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and failing the test.

But you speak sound doctrine.

Teach the older women to be teachers of good things:

not false accusers, not drinking too much wine,

but how to love their husbands and children

that the word of God not be blasphemed.

And the young men to be sober minded,

in a pattern of good works:

in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity,

sincerity, sound speech,

that cannot be condemned

that those opposing have no evil thing to say of you.

All workers be honest, not cheating or stealing

but showing all good faith,

that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior

in all things.

For the grace of God that brings salvation

has appeared to all men,

teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts,

we should live soberly, righteously,

and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope,

and the glorious appearing of the great God

and our Savior Jesus Christ;

Who gave Himself for us,

that He might redeem us from all iniquity,

and purify to Himself a special people,

zealous of good works.

Speak these things with all authority,

reminding them to obey the laws,

to speak evil of no one, avoid brawls,

be gentle and humble.

Remember that you too were once foolish,

disobedient, deceived,

serving lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

But after the kindness and love of God our Savior

toward man appeared, you changed.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done,

but according to His mercy He saved us,

by the washing of regeneration,

and renewing of the Holy Spirit

which He shed on us abundantly

through Jesus Christ our Savior,

that being justified by His grace,

we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Believe and constantly affirm this,

that those who have believed in God

might be careful to maintain good works

that are profitable to men.

Avoid foolish questions, genealogies, and arguments,

and strivings about the law;

for they are unprofitable and empty

(rather than ‘filled with all the fullness of God,’

Ephesians 3:19).

Philemon 1

Paul, a prisoner of Jesus Christ,

and Timothy our brother,

to Philemon our dearly beloved,

and to the church in your house:

Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father

and the Lord Jesus Christ.

I thank my God,

making mention of you always in my prayers,

hearing of your love and faith,

that you have toward the Lord Jesus,

and all saints;

The communication of your faith will become powerful

by knowing every good thing

that is in you in Christ Jesus.

We have great joy and consolation in your love,

because the affections of the saints are refreshed by you.

I will be very bold in Christ to enjoin you to do what is fitting for love’ s sake, on behalf of Onesimus

whom I birthed in the faith here while in prison;

who was unprofitable to you in the past

but now is profitable to you and to me.

(He was Philemon’s slave who ran away.)

I have sent him back to you.

Receive him back with my own affection.

I would have kept him here with me in your place,

but not without your permission.

Perhaps he left you for a time

that you could receive him forever:

Not as a servant but as a beloved brother.

If he has wronged you, I will pay anything he owes.

Just as Jesus paid all we owe to our heavenly Father. He left all the infinite glory of heaven

to come here and live a perfect life in our place,

die for all sin of the universe forever,

and bring all who will back

into the Father’s Presence which is fullness of joy.

Let me have joy of you in the Lord.
