The Glory of God
in Matthew
God with us
When the fullness of the time had come,
God sent forth His Son, made of a woman,
made under the law, to redeem those under the law,
that we might receive the adoption of sons.
3
And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit
of His Son
into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
So, you are no longer a servant, but a son,
and if a son,
then an heir of God through Christ.
Galatians 4:4-7
For God so loves the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believes in Him will no perish but has everlasting life.John 3:16
4
The birth of Jesus Christ happened like this: When his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, before they became intimate, she was found with child from the Holy Spirit.
Then Joseph, her husband, being a just man,
and not willing to make her a public example,
was thinking to divorce her privately.
But while he thought on these things,
behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to him
in a dream, saying,
5
Joseph, don’t be afraid to take to you Mary wife for what is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
And she will bear a son, and you will call His name Jesus:
for He will save His people from their sin.
Being the infinite, eternal Son of God, His death for us obliterated all sin from all existence, forever.
As the Lord foretold: behold, a virgin will be with child, and bear a son, and they will call His name Emmanuel, which means, God with us. Isaiah 7:14
6
The infinitely glorious Maker
and Eternal King of the universe, with us.
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, wise men came from the east, saying, where is he that is born King of the Jews
for we have seen His star in the east
and have come to worship Him.
O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness:
fear before him, all the earth. Psalm 96:9
7
Being warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. And when they were gone the angel of the Lord
appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying,
Get up and take the young child and his mother,
and flee into Egypt, and be there until I bring you word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy Him:
destroy the One God was sending, ‘so all might have life and have it more abundantly.’
John 10:10
8
When Jesus was grown, John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying,
Turn back to God for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Matthew 3:1, 2
Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down
and cast into the fire.
I baptize you with water,
but He that comes after me is mightier than I.
He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. He will cleanse
and gather His wheat into His storehouse.
9
But He will burn up the chaff
with unquenchable fire. Matthew 3:10-12
And Jesus, when he was baptized,
went up straightway out of the water:
and the heavens were opened to Him,
and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him.
And a voice from heaven, saying,
This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Matthew 3:16-17
10
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
to be tempted by the devil.
After He had fasted f 40 days and 40 nights,
He was hungry.
The tempter came to Him and said, If you are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
But He answered It is written, Man doesn’t live by bread alone, but by every word
that comes out of the mouth of God.
11
Then the devil took Him up into the holy city,
and put Him on a pinnacle of the temple, saying,
If you are the Son of God,
throw yourself down: for it is written,
He will give His angels charge to lift you in their hands so you don’t even trip a stone.
Jesus said, It is written again,
Do not test the Lord your God.
Then the devil took Him up a great high mountain,
and showed Him all the kingdoms
12
of the world, and their glory.
He said, I will give you all these,
if you will worship me.
Jesus said, Get away!
for it is written, You are to only worship
and serve the Lord God.
People who sat in darkness
and the shadow of death saw a great light,
Jesus calling out, Turn to God
for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
He went everywhere teaching,
and healing all kinds of sickness, insanity,
deformity, demon possession.
His fame spread everywhere.
13
Multitudes followed Him and He said,
Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn
for they will be comforted. Blessed are the humble
for they will inherit the earth.
Those that hunger and thirst after righteousness
will be filled.
The merciful will be given mercy.
The pure in heart will see God.
The peacemakers will be called children of God.
14
Holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners,
higher than the heavens,
came wooing hearts back to their Maker
by pouring out all His heart of love for them
For He is our peace,
who has made both one,
fulfilling the law of commandments for them.
Ephesians 2:14-16
I in them, and You in me,
that they may be made perfectly one in Us.

Jesus went everywhere calling out,
Turn to God for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
He taught the people.
He healed all kinds of sickness, insanity, deformity, demon possession.
His fame spread everywhere.
And seeing the great crowds of people
He went up into a mountain:
and sat and taught those following Him, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit:
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those that mourn
3
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the humble for they will inherit the earth. These are astounding blessings
from the Almighty God
for everyone
from His love.
And why wouldn’t they be astounding?
for the universe He made by just speaking,
Psalm 33:6,9,
is so astounding man hasn’t discovered
a tiny fraction of it.
Blessed are those hunger and thirst after righteousness:
for they will be filled.
4
Blessed are the merciful: for they will obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers:
for they will be called the children of God.
'Behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called
the sons of God.' 1 John 3:1
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
5
Ones that overcome will inherit all things
and I will be their God and they will be My Son. Revelation 21:7
When you are persecuted and lied about for My sake, Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad,
for great is your reward in heaven.
You are the light of the world.
A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
Let your light shine before men,
that they may see your good works,
and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
6
Don’t think that I came to destroy the law.
I didn’t come to destroy it, but to fulfill it,
(from His love for us, for everyone,
because we couldn’t.)
Heaven and earth will pass away
but not one speck of the law will pass away
until it is all fulfilled.
Don’t make promises swearing ‘by heaven:’
for it is God's throne:
or by the earth for it is His footstool:
or by Jerusalem for it is the city of the great King.
7
Love your enemies, bless those that curse you,
do good to them that hate you,
and pray for those who use you, and persecute you.
When you do these things you are being
like your Father in heaven:
for He makes His sun to rise
on the evil and on the good,
and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
Be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. Matthew 5
8
Give your gifts and do your good deeds in secret,
just between you and God,
and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Pray in secret and your Father
who is with you in secret
will reward you openly.
Don’t use big words and many repetitions in your prayers for your Father knows what you need of before you ask Him. Say this:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
9
Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into testing, but deliver us from evil,
For Yours is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Store up your treasures in heaven,
where they can’t rust or be ruined or stolen. Where your treasure is, your heart will be.
10
If you focus on Jesus, you will be full of light.
If you focus on evil, you will be full of great darkness.
‘Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;
who for the joy that was set before Him
endured the cross, despising the shame,
and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.’ Hebrews 12:2
Don’t worry about food or clothes,
for your heavenly Father knows
about everything you need.
11
But seek first the kingdom of God,
and His righteousness that He has given to us,
His is infinite,
and all these things shall be added to you.
Matthew 6:33
Don’t judge others and you won’t be judged.
Matthew 7:1 Only God knows all the facts.
‘God is greater than our hearts and knows all things.'
1 John 3:20
Only God knows what’s in our hearts.
Romans 8:7
12
When Jesus came down the mountain
great multitudes followed him.
a leper came and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, if You will, You can make me clean.
(And He makes us clean hearts from the leprosy of pride, sin, guilt, and shame.)
And Jesus touched him, saying,
I will; be clean.
And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Just as one look of faith to Him,
makes us clean inside.
13
As Jesus entered Capernaum, a centurion came pleading, Lord, my servant lies at home sick of the palsy,
grievously tormented.
Jesus said, I will come and heal him.
The centurion answered and said, Lord,
I am not worthy for you to come under my roof:
but speak the word only,
and my servant will be healed.
‘All power in heaven and earth is give to Me,
Jesus said in Matthew 28:18
14
That’s how He created everything.
He spoke and it was done.
He commanded and it stood fast.

with His everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3
Everlasting Love
The Glory of God
in Matthew iii
This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
When John, in prison, heard the works Jesus did he sent men to ask:
Are you He that was to come or do we look for another? Jesus said,
Go show John what you see and hear:
the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed,
and the deaf hear.
The dead are raised
and the poor have the gospel preached to them.
And blessed are those not offended in Me.
3
He told the people, Among those that are born of women there is none greater than John the Baptist.
But he that is least in the kingdom of heaven
is greater than he.
Nothing satisfies this generation
for this John came eating only locusts and wild honey. And they say He has a devil.
And I came eating and drinking,
and you say I’m a drunk and a glutton,
a friend of tax cheats and harlots.
4
Cries of grief to the cities that have seen mighty miracles
and don’t turn back to God.
You will be brought down to hell.
Then Jesus prayed, I thank You, Father,
Lord of heaven and earth,
because You hid these things from the wise and prudent,
and revealed them to babies.
All things are given to Me by My Father.
Come to Me, all you that labor
5
and are loaded down and I will give you rest.
Join with Me and learn about Me;
for I am humble and low in heart:
and you will find rest for your souls.
What I require is easy and light.
Don’t be in awe of these buildings
or worship the sabbath day
for there is One here greater than the temple
who is Lord over the sabbath.
If you knew what it means when God says,
I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,
6
you wouldn’t condemn the guiltless.
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
In their synagogue was a man with a withered hand. Jesus healed him and asked,
Who of you with a sheep fallen in a pit won’t lift it out on the sabbath? And how much better is a man better than a sheep? It’s right to help others on the sabbath days.
The leaders plotted to kill Him,
so he left there, and great multitudes followed Him
7
and He healed them all.
The leaders said, He casts out devils by the prince of devils. Jesus told them,
A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God,
then the kingdom of God has come to you.
He that is not with me is against Me;
all sin and blasphemy will be forgiven
except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
8
When the Son of man comes to claim the kingdom,
He will send His angels,
and they will gather out of His kingdom
all things that offend,
and those that do iniquity
and will cast them into a furnace of fire
where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Then the righteous will shine as the sun
in the kingdom of their Father.
The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure
hidden in a field
9
that when a man finds it, he hides it,
and for joy of it, he goes and sells all that he has
and buys that field.
The field is the world
and the treasure is those He made in His image.
For God so loves the world
that He gave His only Son,
that whosoever believes in Him
will not perish but has everlasting life.
John 3:16
And the kingdom of heaven is like a net
cast into the sea and gathered of every kind.
When it was full, they drew it to shore,
10
and sat down and gathered the good into baskets
but throw away the bad.
That’s how it will be at the end of the world:
the angels will come
and take the wicked from among the just
and thrown them into the furnace of fire
where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
When Jesus heard
that Herod had killed John the Baptist
He left and went to another place.
11
Multitudes followed Him on foot out of the cities. When Jesus saw the great multitude,
He was filled with compassion.
He healed their sick.
Even those that only touched
the hem of His robe
were made perfectly whole.
He fed them all with just five loaves and two fish
and sent the disciples across the sea.
In the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.
They said, Truly, you are the Son of God.
12
He taught the people,
It’s not what goes into a man that defiles him,
but what comes out:
thoughts and acts of evil, that’s what defiles man.
Multitudes were in awe
when they saw the dumb to speak,
the maimed made whole, the lame walk,
the blind to see: and they glorified God.
Matthew 15:31
13
He told them, The Son of man will come
in the glory of His Father
with His angels
and reward every man according to his works.
Jesus asked his disciples,
who do you say I am.
Peter answered, You are the Christ,
the Son of the Living God.
Jesus said, And I will give you
the keys of the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus brought Peter, James, and up a high mountain and was transfigured before them:
14
and His face shined as the sun,
and his clothing glistened as the light.
A bright cloud overshadowed them
and a Voice out of the cloud said,
This is My Beloved Son.
In Him I am well pleased. Hear Him!
15
Who says, I will come and receive you to Myself
that where I am, you will be.
Where I am, you will be

Psalm 145:3
I sought the Lord and He heard me and delivered me

One day the disciples asked Jesus,
Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
Jesus called a little child and set him in the midst of them, saying, Truly, unless you become like little children,
(simple trust),
you won’t enter the kingdom of heaven.
Whosoever will humble themselves
3
as this little child,
they are the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
See that you don’t despise one of these little ones
for in heaven their angels do always behold
the face of My Father who is in heaven.
I have come to seek and to save what was lost,
the heart and soul of man at the fall.
If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them strays,
doesn’t he leave the others
4
and go into the mountains, to seek the one that went astray?
And when he finds it, he rejoices.
It isn’t the will of your Father in heaven that any perish.
Anywhere two or three are gathered in My name,
I am there in the midst of them.
As Jesus left Galilee, great multitudes followed him;
and He healed them. T
he Pharisees also came trying to trap Him, saying,
5
Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for every cause?
Jesus said, haven’t you read,
He who made them at the beginning
made them male and female,
for this reason a man leaves his father and mother,
and clings to his wife: and they two will be one flesh?
No more two, but one by creation.
So, what God has joined together, don’t let man separate.
6
A man came to Jesus and said, Good Master,
what good thing must I do to have eternal life?
Jesus said, If you want to be perfect,
go and sell that you have, and give to the poor,
and you will have treasure in heaven:
and come and follow me. The man went away
full of sorrow because he had many possessions.
His disciples asked, Who can be saved?
Jesus said, With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible.
Every one that has given up anything
7
for Me will receive back a hundredfold
and will inherit everlasting life.
The Son of man came not to be served
but to serve and to give his life a ransom for many.
As they left Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
Two blind men sitting by the side of the road
they heard that Jesus passed by,
cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord.
Jesus had compassion for them.
8
He touched their eyes:
and immediately their eyes received sight,
and they followed him.
Matthew 20:30
As Jesus neared Jerusalem
very great multitude spread their garments in the way;
others cut down branches from the trees
and spread them in the path.
They shouted, Hosanna(save now) to the son of David: Blessed is He that comes
9
in the name of the Lord;
Hosanna in the highest.
Jesus went into the temple of God
and cast out all those buying and selling in the temple.
He said, It is written,
My house is the house of prayer for all,
but you have made it a den of thieves.
The blind and the lame came to Him in the temple
and He healed them.
Jesus told a parable, The kingdom of heaven
10
is like a certain king,
who made a marriage for his son,
and when the king came in to see the guests,
he saw there a man not wearing a wedding garment.
'All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags;
and we all do fade as a leaf;
and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.'
Isaiah 64:6
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord,
and be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me
11
with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of His righteousness,
as a bridegroom clothes himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
Isaiah 61:10 T
his wedding guest was trying to stand on his own righteousness,
which is pride, which caused the fall of mankind.
That same day, Sadducees,
who say that there is no resurrection,
asked Jesus,
12
If a man dies, having had no children,
and each of her husband’s 7 brothers, one by one, took her
as his wife in his place, but produced no children,
in the resurrection whose wife will she be?
Jesus said, Don't you deceive, not knowing the scriptures,
or the power of God?
For in the resurrection they don’t marry
but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Return, O backsliding children, says the Lord
13
for I am married to you.
Jeremiah 3:14
And about the resurrection of the dead,
haven’t you read that God said,
I am the God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob?
God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.
And 'I give to them eternal life;
and they will never perish,
and no one can take them out of my hand.'

As Jesus neared Jerusalem very great multitude
spread their garments in the path;
others cut down branches from the trees
and spread them in the way. saying,
Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.
Later Jesus told the multitudes, The leaders
bind heavy and grievous burdens, wear exalted clothing, and love to be called Master:
3
but only one is your Master,Christ;
and all of you are brothers.
And call no man your father on the earth:
for one is your Father, who is in heaven.
Don’t swear by heaven for it is the throne of God.
O Jerusalem, how often would I have gathered your children as a hen gathers her chickens
under her wings, and you refused!
4
As Jesus left, His disciples came to show Him the buildings of the temple. He said, Not one of these stones will be left on another. They asked, When?
And what will be the sign of Your coming?
He said, Don’t let your heart be troubled.
Many will come claiming to be Me.
Don’t be deceived.
He gave them many instructions, and then said, As lightning comes from the east
5
and shines to the west, that’s how My return will be: coming in the clouds of heaven with ‘power and great glory.’
'And He will send His angels to gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.'
At midnight the call was made,
Behold, the bridegroom comes.
Those that were ready went into the marriage.
6
Enter into the joy of your Lord.
When the Son of man shall come in His glory,
and all the holy angels with Him,
then He will sit upon the throne of His glory
and gather all nations before Him.
Then He will separate them one from another,
as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.
And he will set the sheep on His right
but the goats on the left.
7
Then the King will say to those on His right, Come, you blessed by My Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world.
For you helped Me when I was in need.
When you did it to one of the least of My people,
you did it to Me.
Those on the left will go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
8
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said,
Take, eat; this is My body.
And He took the cup, gave thanks,
and gave it to them, saying,
Drink all of it, for this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the cleansing of sins.
I will not drink the fruit of the vine
until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
9
Jesus said to His disciples, all of you will stumble because of Me this night.
But after I am risen again,
I will go before you into Galilee.
Then Jesus came with them to Gethsemane,
and He went a little farther, and fell on his face,
and prayed, saying, O My Father, if it is possible,
let this cup pass from Me:
but not as I will, but as You will.
A while later He said, Rise, let’s go.
10
My betrayer is here. And Judas came with a great multitude with swords and staves.
He had given a signal to those with him,
The one I kiss, he’s the one: hold him fast.
As they took Him He asked,
Don you think I can’t pray to My Father
and He will immediately give Me more than twelve legions of angels? (That’s more than 72,000.)
But then how could the scriptures be fulfilled,
11
The leaders assembled and accused Jesus of many things; but He didn’t answer a word.
The high priest finally said,
I demand you by the living God tell me if you are the Christ, the Son of God.
Jesus said, You said it!
And hereafter you will see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power
and coming in the clouds of heaven.
Then the high priest ripped his clothes, saying, Blasphemy!
12
They spit in Jesus' face and beat Him.
Judas brought back the 30 pieces of silver saying,
I have sinned in that I have betrayed the Innocent blood. And they said,
What is that to us?
Pilate took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood
of this just person.
The soldiers beat Him beyond recognition and crucified Him (in our place).

Holy as He is holy
The astounding news of Jesus Christ,
the Son of God, who came to save us from our sins and make us
‘holy as He is holy,’
just by believing in Him.
John the Baptist came in the wilderness,
calling out, One is coming mightier than I, who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee,
3
to be baptized by John in Jordan river.
As He came up out of the water,
the heavens opened and the Spirit of God
descended on Him as a dove,
and a voice from heaven said,
You are My beloved Son
in whom I am well-pleased.
Then the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness,
where He was tempted by Satan for 40 days and nights. Never yielding for a second;
the angels came and ministered to Him.
4
Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the astounding news of the kingdom of God.
They were astonished at His doctrine
for He taught with power.
In the synagogue a man with an unclean spirit
yelled, Leave us alone.
We know who you are, Jesus,
the Holy One of God.
Jesus rebuked him, Quiet! Come out of him.
The unclean spirit tore him and came out.
All who saw this were amazed,
and His fame spread abroad.
5
Peter’s mother lay sick with fever.
Jesus took her by the hand, lifted her up
and immediately the fever left her.
When the sun had set, those diseased
and possessed with devils were brought to Him
and He healed them.
He didn’t allow the devils to speak
because they knew Him.
A leper knelt before Him saying,
If you will, you can make me clean.
Jesus touched him and said, I will; be clean,
6
and immediately he was clean.
The Son of God was manifested,
to destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 3:8
What happened was blazed abroad
so that Jesus couldn’t enter the city
but was out in desert places:
and they came to Him from every quarter.
Some days later, amid a great crowd,
a young man sick of the palsy was brought to Him.
He said, Son, your sins are forgiven.
7
Some leaders were sitting there thinking,
This man speaks blasphemies.
Who can forgive sins but God?
Jesus asked them? Which is easier, to forgive sins,
or to say, Take up your bed and walk?
But so you will know that the Son of man
has power on earth to forgive sins,
He said to the young man, Take up your bed and walk. And he did!
All were amazed, and glorified God, saying,
8
We’ve never seen anything like this!
When the leaders saw him eat with tax collectors and prostitutes they said to His disciples,
Why does He eat with ‘them?’ Jesus heard and answered, Those that are whole don’t need a doctor,
just those that are sick. I didn’t come to call the righteous, but sinners to turn back to God.
When the leaders asked, Why don’t your disciples fast? Jesus said, Can the children of the bride chamber fast,
9
while the bridegroom is with them?
In the synagogue was a man with a withered hand.
The leaders watched Him, to see if He would heal him on the sabbath day so they could arrest Him.
He said to the man with the withered hand,
Stand out here.
Then He asked the leaders,
Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days,
or to do evil? to save life, or to kill?
But they didn’t answer.
10
He was angry and grieved for the hardness of their hearts, and said to the man, Stretch out your hand.
As he did, it became whole as the other.
Je sus left and went to the sea.
Great multitude followed him.
Those with unclean spirits fell down before him,
calling out, You are the Son of God.
He went up a mountain and appointed
twelve, to be with Him.
11
He sent them out to preach the news of Him,
gave them power to heal sicknesses, and cast out devils.
The leaders said, He casts out devils by the prince of the devils. Jesus refuted,
How can Satan cast out Satan?
That would be the end of him.
Can you enter a strong man’s house to steal from him unless you first bind the strong man.
(Jesus, by casting out the devils was binding
the strong man
12
and taking back the souls to God who made them.)
Firm truth, I say to you, All sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and blasphemies.
But he that blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has deliverance, remission of sin,
but is in danger of eternal damnation,
having refused God’s truth.
Whoever does the will of God, is my brother,
and my sister, and mother. Mark 1-3
13
Jesus told His disciples,
It is given to you to know the mystery
of the kingdom of God:
but to them that are without (foreign),
all these things are done in parables.
When they were alone
He unfolded the meaning of all things to them.
As they were crossing the sea
a great storm of wind arose,
and the waves beat into the ship
filling the ship with water.
But Jesus was asleep
in the back of the ship on a pillow.
They woke Him, Master! We perish!
14
He rose up, rebuked the wind,
Peace, be still, and there was a great calm.
The disciples feared in awe,
Who is this that even the wind
and sea obey Him?
'All power is given to me in heaven and in earth.'
Matthew 28:18
The Lord Himself will descend from heaven.
The dead in Christ will rise.
Then we will be caught up

and will always be with Him.

With Me on My throne
Jesus came out of a ship and a man with an unclean spirit met Him who lived among the tombs, who was so strong no chains could hold him. He wandered night and day in the mountains, crying and cutting himself with stones.
He ran to Jesus and worshipped Him, pleading, Jesus, Son of the Most High, please don’t torment me. Jesus said to the unclean spirit, Come out of him!
3
The Son of man didn’t come
to destroy men's lives, but to save them.
Luke 9:56
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if anyone hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in, and feast with him, and he with Me. He that overcomes will sit with me on My throne. Revelation 3:20, 21
A ruler named Jairus came and worshipped Jesus saying, My little daughter is dying: Please come.
4
As many people crowded around following, a woman with a hemorrhage for 12 years came behind and touched His robe, and was instantly cured.
Jairus was told, Your daughter is dead.
Jesus heard this and told him,
Don’t be afraid, only believe.
At Jairus’s house was a tumult of great wailing.
Jesus said, Why are you doing this? She isn’t dead, she’s sleeping. They laughed, scorning Him.
5
He put them out and took her by the hand saying, Rise. And she got up and walked. All were greatly astonished.
He called to him the twelve and sent them out two by two; and gave them power over unclean spirits.
Today His people have more power than this:
Ask what you will that your joy may be full.
John 16:24
All His people can touch anyone, anywhere
6
with His power in their lives,
just by asking Him in their hearts whatever they will. You can give them to inherit all things and sit with Jesus on His eternal throne through ages without end.
He that overcomes will sit with Me on My throne. Revelation 3:21
He that overcomes will inherit all things
and I will be His God and he will be My Son/daughter. Revelation 21:7

Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw a great crowd of people following because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and He taught them many things.
As evening neared Jesus told His disciples, Feed them, How many loaves do you have? They said, Five loaves and two fish. He said,
Have them all sit on the green grass.
Jesus looked up to heaven and blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to be passed out.
8
All ate and were filled with 12 baskets left over,
5000 men plus their families.
I am the bread of life: he that comes to Me will never hunger; and he that believes on Me will never thirst.
John 6:35
He went up a mountain to pray. Later, He saw the disciples rowing across the sea with difficulty
for the wind was against them.
In the fourth watch of the night, He came to them walking on the sea.
9
When they saw Him they thought He was a spirit and were scared. He said,
Courage, don’t be afraid. It’s Me.
They were beyond amazed and full of wonder.
As they arrived on shore,
He was recognized and the people ran through that whole region and came carrying the sick to Him.
They lay the sick in the streets just to touch the edge of His clothes.
And all that touched were made whole.
Mark 4-6
10
Leaders came criticizing the disciples for not washing their hands. Jesus said, These people honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
They worship for nothing, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Heaven and earth will pass away
but My word will not pass away. Matthew 24:35
You fully reject the commandments of God to keep your own traditions.
11
Know this: Nothing outside of man can defile him
because it doesn’t enter his heart.
Man looks on the outward appearance,
but God looks on the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
Out of the heart, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, and every proud and foolish thing: these defile you.
In the borders of Tyre and Sidon
a Syrophenician woman came to Him
and asked Him to cast a devil out of her daughter.
12
Jesus said to her, Let the children be filled first:
It’s not fitting to take the children's bread,
and to throw it to the puppies.
She said, Yes, Lord: yet the puppies under the table
eat of the children's crumbs.
When she was come to her house,
she found the devil gone out.
At Decapolis he healed a deaf/mute.
The people were astonished beyond measure, saying,
He has done all things well.
Mark 7
13
In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus said, If I send them home fasting, they will faint by the way:
for many had come far.
This time they had 7 loaves and a few small fish.
Jesus prayed, the disciples distributed, all were filled with 7 baskets left over. 4,000 men and their families were fed.

This is My beloved Son: hear Him.
Jesus led Peter, James, and John, and up a high mountain and was transfigured before them. His clothes became glistening and Elijah and Moses were there talking with Him. As Peter said, Let’s make 3 dwelling here for you, a bright cloud overshadowed them saying, This is My beloved Son: hear him!
As they came down the mountain a crowd ran to Him. One of them said, I brought my son who has a dumb spirit.
3
He said, Master, I have brought my son, who has a dumb spirit that tears at him since he was a child.
Your disciples couldn’t cast him out.
Jesus said, All things are possible to him that believes.
The father said, I believe Lord, Help my unbelief.
Jesus rebuked the foul spirit, saying,
Come and don’t enter him again!
The spirit screamed and tore him badly.
4
He looked so bad the people said, He’s dead.
But Jesus took him by the hand, lifted him up; and he arose.
Passing through Galilee He taught his disciples:
I will be delivered into the hands of men,
and they will kill Me;
and after 3 days I will be raised from death.
As He came to Capernaum He asked them,
What were you arguing about on the way?
5
They didn’t answer because they were fighting
about which of them was the greatest.
He took a child in his arms, he said,
Whoever receives a child in My name, receives Me:
and whoever receives Me, is receiving He that sent Me.
John said, We saw someone casting out devils in Your name, who doesn’t follow us: and we forbid him.
Jesus said, Don’t forbid him for no one doing a miracle
in My name will speak evil of Me.
6
For he that is not against us is with us.
Whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name,
because you belong to Christ,
I tell you the truth, he won’t lose his reward.
And whoever offends one of these little ones that believe in Me,
it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck,
and he were cast into the sea.
If your eye offends you, pluck it out: it is better for to enter the kingdom of God with one eye,
7
(the Lord heals it)
than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire:
where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire isn’t quenched.
As Jesus taught the people,
Pharisees came trying to trap Him,
and asked about divorce.
He said, From the beginning God made male and female.
They are no more two, but one flesh.
What God joined together, don’t let man separate.
8
The disciples were preventing people
from bringing their children to Jesus to bless them.
When Jesus saw it, he was very displeased, and said to them, Allow the little children to come unto me, don’t forbid them:
for of such is the kingdom of God.
I tell you the truth,
Whoever doesn’t receive the kingdom of God as a little child,
he won’t enter it. (Little children believe what they are told
and are very trusting. If we don’t believe
9
all the impossible wonder that God is and says, and does,
we aren’t entering the kingdom of God
but putting our own or others’ thoughts and words first.)
Jesus took the little ones up in His arms,
put His hands on them, and blessed them.
A young man came and knelt before Jesus asking,
What must I do to be saved?
What Jesus told him. It sounded impossible,
10
and the disciples wondered among themselves,
Who then can be saved? Jesus said, With men it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
On the way to Jerusalem Jesus told them He would be arrested by the leaders, mocked, spit on, whipped, beaten, and killed: and the third day rise again.
The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister,
11
and to give his life a ransom for many.
As He came out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, sat by the highway, begging.
He called out, Jesus, have mercy on me.
Mony followers tried to quiet him,
but Jesus stood still and called him to Him, saying,
What would you have Me do for you?
He said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.
12
Jesus said, Go your way. Your faith has made you whole. Immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way.
As Jesus approached Jerusalem many spread their garments in the path before Him; the crowd calling out:
Blessed is He that comes in the name of the Lord:
Blessed be the kingdom: Save we pray in the highest.
The next morning in the temple,
Jesus threw out all those buying and selling, saying,
13
Is it not written, My house will be called the house of prayer for all nations? but you have made it a den of thieves.
Jesus was hungry and cursed a fig tree that had no fruit. It withered quickly and the disciples were amazed.
Jesus said, Have faith in God.
I tell you the truth, If anyone says to a mountain, Move! Be cast into the sea, and doesn’t doubt in his heart, it will come to pass:
14
Whatever you want, when you pray,
believe that you receive it, and you will receive it.
Mark 11:24

The Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, asked him, saying, Master, Moses wrote, If a man's brother die, and leave his wife behind him, and leaves no children, that his brother take her as his wife, and raise up descendants to his brother.
There were seven brothers and the first took a wife. He died and left no seed, so his brother took her as wife. He also died, down through all seven, but left no heirs.
4
In the resurrection whose wife will she be?
Mark 12:18
Jesus said, Don’t you deceive by this,
because you don’t know the scriptures,
or the power of God?
For when they rise from the dead,
they don’t marry
but are as the angels of God in heaven.
And about the dead rising,
haven’t you read in Moses,
how in the bush God said to him, saying,
I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?
5
He is not the God of the dead,
but the God of the living.
You greatly err.
One of the scribes came, having heard them, asked,
What is the first commandment of all?
Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,
Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
and you will love the Lord your God
with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength:
6
this is the first commandment.
The scribe said, You have said the truth for there is one God;
and there is none other but He:
And to love Him with all the heart, understanding,
all the soul, and with all the strength,
and to love your neighbor as yourself,
is more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.
Jesus told him, You are not far from the kingdom of God.
7
As Jesus left the temple, one of His disciples said,
Master, see these great buildings?
He said, These stones will all be thrown down.
As He sat on the mount of Olives
opposite the temple,
Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked Him privately, When will this happen?
What will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?
Jesus said, Let no one deceive you.
8
When you hear of wars and rumors of wars,
don’t be troubled: for such things need to happen:
but the end isn’t yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be earthquakes in various places, famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of birth pains of the kingdom coming.
You will be arrested and beaten and brought before rulers and kings
9
for My sake, for a testimony against them. And the gospel must first be published among all nations.
When you stand before those who arrested you,
Don’t plan what to say.
It will be given you at that time what to say.
It isn’t you that speaks but the Holy Spirit.
When the leader puts a statue of himself in the temple run immediately and hide.
10
Don’t even stop to get your clothes,
for this will be the worst time ever in history.
And unless the Lord shortens those days,
no flesh would be saved on earth,
but for the elect’s sake He shortens the time.
When someone tells you, Here is Christ or there.
Don’t believe it, for many will be showing signs to seduce you.
Then the sun and moon will be darkened,
stars of heaven will fall,
11
the powers of heaven will be shaken.
And then all will see the Son of man coming
in the clouds with great power and glory.
And He send His angels to gather His elect
from the four winds, from the farthest part of the earth
to the ends of heaven.
When you see these things begin to happen,
know the time for the kingdom of heaven on earth is at the door.
This generation will not pass until all these things are done.
12
Heaven and earth will pass away:
but My words will not pass away.
Always be watching for this day
because only the Father knows the day
and the hour of this astounding event.
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven,
with a shout, with the voice of the archangel,
and with the trumpet of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
then we that are alive,
13
will be caught up together with them
to meet the Lord in the air:
and we will always be with the Lord,

Your prayer is heard
www,truthofhim.com.
A certain priest named Zacharias was married to Elizabeth, who was barren. They were both righteous before God, walking in all the ways of the Lord.
And they were both very old.
As Zacharias was burning incense in the temple of the Lord, an angel of the Lord appeared, standing on the right side of the altar of incense. Zacharias was terrified. The angel said, Don’t be afraid.
3
Your prayer is heard and Elisabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.
And you will have great joy, and many will rejoice at his birth. For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; he will drink no wine or strong drink; and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb. And he will turn many of the children of Israel back
to the Lord their God:
4
and turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just;
to make ready a people for the Lord.
In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God
to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
the virgin’s name was Mary.
He said, Joy to you. You are greatly graced:
the Lord is with you.
She was greatly troubled,
The angel said, Don’t fear, Mary,
5
for you have found grace with God.
Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a Son, and call his name Jesus.
He will be great
and be called the Son of the Most High.
The Lord God will give Him the throne,
and He will rule forever; a
nd of His kingdom there will be no end.
Mary said to the angel, How can this be,
seeing I know not a man.
6
And the angel said, The Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you: therefore the holy One born
will be called the Son of God.
And behold, your cousin Elizabeth,
has conceived a son in her old age;
and this is her sixth month who was barren,
for with God nothing is impossible.
Mary arose and went into the hill country
to the house of Zacharias and Elisabeth.
7
When Elizabeth heard her greeting,
the babe leaped in her womb;
and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and said, You are blessed among women
and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
How is it that the mother of my Lord has come to me? Blessed are you that believed for it will be fulfilled.
And Mary said,
My soul magnifies the Lord.
I rejoice in God my Savior.
8
He has looked on me
and from now on all generations will call me blessed.
He that is mighty has done great things for me;
And His name is holy.
His love is faithful from generations to generations
on those that fear Him.
He has shown strength with His arm;
He has scattered the proud
in the imagination of their heart.
9
He has put down princes from their thrones
and exalted the lowly.
He has filled the hungry with good things.
And the rich He has sent away empty.
At his son’s birth Zacharias said,
The Lord has granted us to be delivered
out of the hand of our enemies to serve Him without fear,
in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days. And you, child, will be the prophet
of the Most High
10
to go before Him to make ready His paths;
to give knowledge of salvation to His people
in the deliverance from bondage to their sins.
'As far as the east is from the west,
that’s how far He removed our transgressions from us.'
Psalm 103:12
Because of the deep mercy of our God,
the dayspring from on high
who shines on those that sit in the shadow of death
to guide our feet into the way of peace.
11
In those days, taxation was decreed
so Joseph went to Bethlehem with Mary,
who was great with child.
And while they were there, she delivered her firstborn Son; and she wrapped Him in swaddling clothes,
and laid Him in a manger,
because there was no room for them in the inn.
Nearby, shepherds were staying in the field
watching over their flocks at night.
And an angel of the Lord stood by them,
12
and the glory of the Lord shone round about them:
and they were terrified.
And the angel said to them, Don’t be afraid;
for behold, I bring you astounding news
of great joy to all people:
today, to you, is born a Savior,
who isChrist the Lord
(the Son of God,
Creator of all,
who will rule the universe forever).
Suddenly with the angel was a multitude of beautiful angelic beings of light, praising God, and saying,
13
Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, good pleasure delight to man.
(The One who will restore Eden,
God’s creation of paradise, the evil destroyed.)
The shepherds went to see,
then told this in the city
and returned to the field,
praising God for all the He had showed them.
After Mary’s days of purification they took baby Jesus to the temple at Jerusalem to present him to the Lord.
14
Simeon had been waiting for this day
and took Jesus in his arms and prayed,
Now I have seen Your Salvation
that You prepared before the face of all peoples;
a light for revelation to the nations
and the glory of Your people Israel.
For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts,
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Jesus Christ.

Glory to God in the highest
The Glory of God
in Luke ii
All that heard Him were amazed
Jesus, as a child, grew strong, was filled with wisdom,
and the grace of God was on Him.
At the Passover when He was 12,
his parents found Him with the teachers in the temple, listening and asking questions.
All that heard Him were amazed
at His understanding and His answers.
In the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar,
the word of God came to John the son the wilderness.
He began calling out
3
the receiving of forgiveness
by simply turning your heart to God
(instead of animal sacrifices at the temple).
Every mountain and hill will be brought low;
And the crooked will become straight,
the rough paths smooth;
And all flesh will see the salvation of God.
Multitudes that went out to be baptized by him.
Some began to think he was the long-awaited Savior.
4
John said to them all,
I baptize you with water;
but One comes after me mightier than I.
I’m not worthy to unloose His shoe.
He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.
He will thoroughly cleanse His wheat,
but burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Jesus came to John also to be baptized,
and praying,
heaven opened.
and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form,
as a dove, upon Him,
and a voice came out of heaven,
5
You are My beloved Son;
in You I am well pleased.
Jesus was 30 years old when He began to teach.
He was a direct genetic descendant of Adam
through the line of Seth.
And Jesus, being full of the Holy Spirit,
returned from Jordan,
and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
being tempted forty days by the devil.
And in those days He ate nothing:
6
then He was hungry.
The devil said, If you are the Son of God,
command this stone to be made bread.
Jesus said, It is written,
Man doesn’t live by bread only,
but by every word of God.
The devil took Him up a high mountain
and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world
in a moment of time and said,
All this power and glory I will give you.
If you worship me it will be yours.
7
Jesus said, Get behind me, Satan:
for it is written, You are to worship the Lord your God and only serve Him.
Then he brought Him to Jerusalem
and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said,
If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down
for it is written, He will give His angels
charge over you, to guard you:
in their hands they will lift you up,
so you don’t hit your foot against a stone.
8
Jesus said, It is said,
Do not test the Lord your God.
Jesus returned from the wilderness
in the power of the Spirit.
His fame spread far
and He was glorified of all.
In Nazareth, where He had been brought up,
He read in the synagogue from the book of Isaiah,
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because He has anointed Me
to preach the gospel to the poor,
to heal the brokenhearted, to deliver the captives,
9
recover sight to the blind,
to set free the that are oppressed,
to proclaim it is the year to accept the Lord.
(He was offering the kingdom to Israel at that time.)
He closed the book and sat down.
All eyes there were fixed on Him.
He said, Today this scriptures is fulfilled in your ears.
All saw and were amazed at His gracious words,
but weren’t accepting that He was
the anointed Savior
that He had just claimed to be.
10
They were furious
and took Him out of the city and up a hill
to throw Him off a cliff.
But He passed through the midst of them
and went His way.
He went down to Capernaum,
taught them on the sabbath days.
Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
Romans 10:17
We walk by faith, not by sight.
2 Corinthians 5:7 T
hey were astonished at His doctrine:
for His word was with power.
11
A man with a withered hand had a spirit of a devil.
Seeing Jesus he yelled, Let us alone,
I know who you are;
the Holy One of God.
Jesus rebuked him, saying,
Quiet! Come out of him.
The devil threw him up the middle and came out.
All were amazed and said,
What is this?
With authority He commands the unclean spirits
and they come out.
And His fame spread to every place. (and it still is)
12
As the sun was setting, all that had any sick
brought them to Him;
and He laid his hands on every one of them
and healed them.
Devils came out of many, crying out,
You are Christ, the Son of God.
People pressed upon Him
to hear the word of God
as He stood by the lake of Gennesaret.
He went into a ship
and asked to put out a little from the shore
and sat down and taught from there.
13
When He quit speaking,
He asked Simon to launch out into the deep
and let down the nets.
Simon said, We worked all night
and caught nothing.
They caught so many that two boats were filled
and began to sink.
When Simon Peter saw it,
he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying,
Depart from me; for I am a sinful man, Lord.
Jesus said to him, Fear not,
from no on you will catch men.
14
I am the true vine,
and My Father is the husbandman.
Stay in Me, and I in you.
As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself,
unless it stays in the vine.
He that stays in Me, and I in him,
brings forth much fruit:
for without Me you can do nothing.
If you stay in Me, and My words stay in you,
Ask whatever you will,
and it will be done unto you.

Hear and be healed
In the city, a man full of leprosy
saw Jesus and fell on his face before Him saying,
, if you will, you can make me clean.
Jesus touched him and said, I will: be clean.
And immediately the leprosy left him.
His fame spread widely
and great multitudes came to hear and be healed.
One day, as He was teaching, Pharisees and lawyers from every town in Galilee
3
came, and the power of the Lord was present
to heal them.
Some men brought a paralyzed man
to whom Jesus said, Your sins are forgiven you.
The Pharisees wondered, Who can forgive sins,
but God?
When Jesus perceived their thoughts,
He said, Which is easier, To say
your sins are forgiven or Rise up and walk?
(Only God can do these.)

But, so you will know
that the Son of man
has power on earth to forgive sins,
He said to the paralyzed man,
Get up, go to your house.
And immediately he got up, took what he was lying on,
and went to his own house, glorifying God.
All were amazed and glorified God.
Levi made Jesus a great feast
and many tax collectors and others were there.
Scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples,
5
saying, Why do you eat and drink
with and tax collectors and sinners?
Jesus said to them, Those that are whole
don’t need a physician; but those that are sick.
I haven’t come to call the righteous,
but sinners back to God.
And they asked, Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, but yours eat and drink?
Jesus said,
Can you make the children of the bride chamber fast,
6
while the bridegroom is with them?
Luke 5:29-34
Going through the corn fields
his disciples plucked the ears of corn,
and ate, rubbing them in their hands,
Certain of the Pharisees asked,
Why do break the law on sabbath days?
Jesus said, Haven’t you read what David did,
when he was hungry?
They went into the house of God
and ate the showbread?
7
The Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Another Sabbath day Jesus was teaching in the synagogue and a man came whose right hand was withered. The scribes and Pharisees watched were watching to see if Jesus would heal the man, so they could bring a legal accusation against Him.
He knew their thoughts
and said to the man which had the withered hand,
Rise up, and stand here in the middle.
8
He healed the man
and taught them it not against the law
to do good on the sabbath.
As He stood in the plain with His disciples
a great multitude of people out of all Judea, Jerusalem, and from the seacoast, came to hear Him, and be healed of their diseases and unclean spirits: and they were healed.
The whole multitude sought to touch Him: for power went out of him and healed them all. Luke 6:19
9
He looked up and said, Blessed are you that are poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.
Blessed are you that hunger now: for you will be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: for you will laugh. Blessed are you when men hate you and call you evil for My sake; rejoice and leap for joy, for great is your reward in heaven; that’s how they treated the fathers and the prophets.
10
Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you. Bless them, and pray for them, and your reward will be great, and you will be the children of the Highest: for He is kind to the unthankful and to the evil.
Don’t judge and you won’t be judged. Don’t look for specks in your brother’s eye. First take the log out of your own eye. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Every tree is known by its own fruit.
11
Out of the good treasure of his heart a good man brings what is good for from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
A certain centurion's servant, who was dear to him, was sick, and ready to die. He sent friends to Jesus, saying Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof: but just say a word, and my servant will be healed. When they returned, they found the servant healed.
12
When Jesus came near the city of Nain,
a multitude was following Him, and a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: the Lord had compassion on her, and said, Don’t cry. He came and touched the bier and said, Young man, Rise. And the dead sat up. Fear fell on all and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is risen up among us. God has visited His people.
13
The disciples of John reported all this, and he sent two to ask, Are you He that is to come
or should we look for another?
Jesus said, Go tell John what you have seen and heard; the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised.
Blessed are those not offended in Me. Jesus said of John, He is the messenger foretold
to prepare the way before Me.
14
Among those born of women
none is greater than John the Baptist,
but he that is least in the kingdom of God
is greater than he.
(None in heaven have sinful natures,
and all are just like Jesus.)
We will be like Him
for we will see Him as He is.
1 John 3:2
God’s original intent:
Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.

Infinite Glory
The Glory of God
in Luke part 4
Forgiven!
As Jesus sat down to eat at a Pharisees house,
a ‘sinful’ woman brought an alabaster box of ointment. Weeping, she washed His feet with her tears
and dried them with her hair.
She kissed His feet and anointed them with the ointment. The Pharisee thought, if this man were a prophet,
He would know that she is a ‘sinner.’
Jesus said to him, A creditor had two debtors.
One owed 500 dollars
and one owed 50.
3
And when they had nothing to pay, he forgave them both. which of them will love him most? He answered,
I suppose the one whom he forgave most.
Jesus said, You judged right.
Her sins, which are many, are forgiven;
for she loved much: but one to whom little is forgiven,
loves little.
He told the woman, your faith has saved you,
go into peace.
'Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.' Romans 5:1
4
He went throughout every city and village,
preaching and showing the joyous news
of the kingdom of God.
One day Jesus went into a ship with His disciples saying, Let’s go over to the other side of the lake. As they sailed, He fell asleep and a great storm of wind came,
and they were in danger of sinking.
They woke Him saying,
Master, master, we perish.
5
He rose, rebuked the wind and the raging water,
and there was calm.
The disciples feared, in awe, and said,
What manner of man is this!
for He commands even the winds and water,
and they obey Him.
When they arrived in the country of the Gadarenes,
a naked man came out of the city
who lived in the tombs.
When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, saying,
6
what have I to do with You, Jesus,
Son of God most high?
Please don’t torment me.
Jesus had commanded
the unclean spirit to come out of the man.
Jesus asked the spirit, What is your name?
And he said, Legion:
because many devils were entered into him.
They begged Him
that He would not command them
to go out into the bottomless pit.
And there was a herd of many pigs
7
on the mountain: and they asked that He allow them
to enter them. And He allowed it.
Then the herd ran violently down a steep place
into the lake and were choked.
When the swine herders saw this they went and told it in the city and in the country, and when they went out to see what happened, they came to Jesus, and found the man, out of whom the devils were cast out, sitting at the feet of Jesus,
8
clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
They asked Him to leave, and as they were leaving the healed man wanted to go with Jesus, but Jesus said, Return to your own house, and show what great things God has done to You.
A man named Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue, pleaded with Jesus to come to his house for his only daughter lay dying. On the way a woman who had been hemorrhaging for 12 years
9
touched the hem of his robe and was instantly healed.
Jesus said, Your faith has made you whole;
go in peace.
As He was speaking one from the ruler of the synagogue's house came, saying to him, Your daughter is dead.
Don’t trouble the Master.
But Jesus said, Fear not: only believe.
She will be made whole.
At the house, Jesus told the mourners, she isn’t dead, but sleeping, and they laughed at Him.
He went in and took her by the hand and said,
10
Maid, arise. And her spirit came back and she got up. Her parents were astonished.
Later, He gathered His disciples and gave them power over all devils and to cure diseases and announce the kingdom of God. They went through the towns, announcing the kingdom and healing everywhere.
Later, as He was praying with his disciples he asked them, Who do the people say I am?
11
They said, John the Baptist; but some say,
Elijah or one of the old prophets is risen again.
Jesus asked, Who do you say that I am?
Peter said, You are the Christ,
the Son of the Living God.
He said, Tell no one this
for I must suffer many things,
and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes,
and be killed, and be raised the third day.
12
Whosoever is ashamed of Me and of My words,
the Son of man will be ashamed of him
when comes in His own glory,
and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.
Eight days later He took Peter, John, and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. And as He prayed, the features of His face changed, and His clothing was shiny white and sparkling.
13
Moses and Elijah were there talking with Him
who appeared in glory, and spoke of His death.
Peter and those with him were asleep
and when woke up they saw His glory,
and the two with Him.
As the two left Peter said, Master,
let’s make three tabernacles here for you three.
As he was speaking a cloud overshadowed them
and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.
14
A voice came out of the cloud saying,
This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!
Holy, harmless, undefiled,
separate from sinners,
and made higher than the heavens,
Hebrews 7:26
Who has perfected forever
those that believe in Him. Hebrews10:14
He that overcomes will sit with Me
on My throne. Revelation 3:21
I will come again and receive you to Myself;
that where I am, there you will be. John 14:3

Holy as He is Holy
The Glory of God
in John
His life is the light of man
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
All things were made by Him;
nothing was made without Him.
In Him was life; and that life was the light of men. John 1:1-4
He is the true Light, that enlightens everyone
that comes into the world.
He was in the world that was made by Him,
3
and the world didn’t know Him,
and His own people (the Jews) didn’t receive Him, but to those who received Him
He gave power to become the sons of God.
Those that believed were born of God.
We saw His glory, the same glory as the Father,
full of grace and truth.
John 1:9-14
Beyond Jordan in Bethabara,
where John was baptizing.
He saw Jesus coming to him, and said,
4
Behold the Lamb of God,
who takes away the sin of the world.
God had told John: on whom you see
the Spirit descending and remaining,
He is the one who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. That’s what I saw when I baptized Him,
and bare record that this is the Son of God.
John 1:28-34
Nathanael was amazed when Jesus told him
5
that He had seen Him under the fig tree.
Jesus said, Hereafter you will see heaven open,
and the angels of God
ascending and descending on the Son of man.
At a wedding in Cana of Galilee,
Jesus turned six 27 gallon pots of water
into 162 gallons of the best wine.
In the temple at Jerusalem
He threw out the moneychangers and merchants saying, Don’t make My Father’s house
a house of merchandise.
6
Jesus told Nicodemus, You must be born again.
That which is born of the flesh is flesh;
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Do you see the wind blowing?
That’s how it is with the birth of the Spirit
for God is Spirit.
You see the body made of earth dust
but you don’t see the Spirit.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness,
even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
whoever believes in Him has eternal life.
7
For God so loves the world,
that He gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believes in Him
won’t perish, but has everlasting life.
God didn’t send His Son into the world
to condemn the world;
but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:14-17
John told the people, I’m not the Christ
but the friend of the bridegroom
who rejoices greatly to hear His voice.
8
He that comes from heaven is above all.
John 3:28-31
The Father loves the Son
and has given all things into His hand.
John 3:35
In Samaria Jesus,
weary from the journey
sat on Jacob’s well.
A woman came from the city to draw water.
Jesus asked, Give me a drink?
She said, You, a Jew, ask me, a Samaritan?
9
Jesus answered, If you knew the gift of God,
and who it is that asks.
You would ask,
and He would give you living water.
Those who drink this water will thirst again,
but whoever drinks of the water that I give him
will never thirst;
but the water that I give him will be in him
a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:10-14
He that hears My word,
and believes on Him that sent me,
has everlasting life, has passed from death into life.
10
The hour is coming in the which all that are in the graves will hear His voice and come out:
those that have done good to the resurrection of life;
and those that have done evil, to damnation.
John 5:22-29
One day, when the multitudes that followed Jesus,
hearing Him and being healed,
were hungry
and He fed them with 5 loaves and 2 fish,
5,000 men and their families,
with 12 baskets of food left over. John 6:2-13
11
After this, Jesus perceived that they were coming
to take Him by force to make Him king,
so He went up into a mountain to pray.
His disciples went down to the sea, entered a ship,
and went over the sea toward Capernaum.
It grew dark and the sea was tossing wildly
by a great wind.
Jesus came to them walking on the sea,
and they were terrified.
He said, It’s Me, don’t be afraid.
John 6:15-21
12
When people came to Him
wanting another miracle of food,
Jesus said, The bread of God
is He who comes down from heaven
and gives life to the world.
said, Lord, always give us this bread.
Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life:
he that comes to Me will never hunger
and He that believes on Me will never thirst.
Those that come to Me,
will in no way cast out. John 6:31-35
13
Jesus spoke again saying, I am the light of the world: He that follows Me won’t walk in darkness
but has the light of life.
If you continue in My word,
you will know the truth
and the truth will set you free.
John 8:12, 31, 32
Jesus healed a man blind from birth.
The Pharisees interrogated the man
arguing that Jesus couldn’t be from God
because he didn’t keep the sabbath.
14
The man said, This is amazing.
Since the world began was it not heard
any man opened the eyes of one born blind.
If this man weren’t from of God,
He could do nothing.
John 9:30-33
We give thanks to the Father,
who has made us fit to share of the inheritance
of the saints in light:
Who delivered us from the power of darkness
and transferred us into the kingdom
of His dear Son. Colossians 1:12,13
